How review works

From setting to draft

01

Setting review

Proposals are first checked against the established world bible to confirm they fit the places, histories, and rules of For Her Use.

02

Concept consideration

Accepted settings move to a review of the story premise, characters, and how the work extends the existing world.

03

Draft consideration

Complete drafts are read for tone, craft, and consistency with the world before any decision is made.

Editorial standards

What we look for in a manuscript

Prospective work should respect the established world bible and keep to its thematic expectations. Stories are expected to hold a literary tone that is measured, precise, and attentive to the world’s established voice. Formatting integrity matters as much as the story itself. Manuscripts should follow the published guidelines for length, layout, and presentation, which will be shared in advance of each submission window.

Writers are invited to read the world closely before proposing work within it. Submissions that show a clear understanding of the setting, its constraints, and its purpose are more likely to advance to review. When submission windows open, full guidelines, review schedules, and contact details will be posted on this page, and questions can be sent through the contact page.
